Very briefly: this group is being established as one prospective refuge of two writers' research mailing lists about to be erased by Yahoo. As such, it's still in under-construction mode, but refugees from Storytellers' Research and/or Joys of Research are encouraged to check in and others are welcome to line up at the door (I've set membership to "moderated" at least temporarily, to avoid any incursion of spam while we settle in).

Charter

We are writers of fiction who value technical and historical accuracy in our stories, whether set in our own world or some other. We don't do formal research for one another, but we share our unique skills, specialized knowledge, and personal expertise in support of each others' work.

This community is intended mostly for active writers, but readers, fans, and research-mavens are equally welcome to take part within the scope of the community's central mission. We are NOT a resource for students' homework or term-paper research.
